University Overview
Texas Wesleyan University, founded in 1890 in Fort Worth, Texas, began as Polytechnic College. Initially a women's college, it became coeducational in 1934 after merging with Texas Wesleyan Academy. The university expanded its programs in the 1970s and 1980s, offering graduate degrees in education and nurse anesthesia.
Texas Wesleyan University reaffirmed its commitment to its historic location by building the Eunice and James L. West Library in 1988. The institution was renamed in 1989, launched a flexible program for adult learners in 1994, and established a downtown Fort Worth campus in 1997. The School of Law was sold to Texas A&M in 2013. In 2015, the Rosedale Renaissance project revitalized the campus and neighborhood. Dr. Emily W. Messer became the first female University President in 2023.

Day 1 CPT at Texas Wesleyan University
- Requires completion of 36 credits;
- The MBA programs are 2-year, 6-semester, 36-credit programs. They are full-time hybrid programs;
- Both Transfer F1 and Initial F1 students can apply for CPT work authorization from the first semester of the program.
- CPT Application: Students need to submit the CPT Request Form, Job Offer Letter, and the latest I-94 document to the school's Designated School Official (DSO) via email. Once the tuition fee is paid, the CPT will be approved.
- If the current employer does not sign the CPT Agreement, reach out to the advisor for an alternative.
- On-site Courses: Students enrolling in the CPT program are required to visit the school every semester for a weekend (Saturday & Sunday)

- Transcript (Bachelor GPA above 2.5; Master's GPA above 3.0)
- GMAT/GRE will be waived for applicants meeting one of the following three conditions:
- Bachelor's degree with a GPA (overall or last 60 credit hours) of 3.0 or above.
- Bachelor's degree with an overall GPA of 2.5 or last 60 credit hours GPA of 2.75 with at least 3 years professional business work experience.
- Completed graduate degree with a GPA of 3.0 and above.

*Applicants with a three-year Bachelor's degree will be required to enroll in a one-year bridge program to complete their fourth year by successfully completing 24 undergraduate credit hours. Please refer to the next section for more information on the Bridge Program.

Students can submit their CPT application at any time after receiving their admission. Application materials include:
- Paid admission deposit (non-refundable).
- The student has completed registration.
