University Overview

Texas Wesleyan University, founded in 1890 in Fort Worth, Texas, began as Polytechnic College. Initially a women's college, it became coeducational in 1934 after merging with Texas Wesleyan Academy. Texas Wesleyan University reaffirmed its commitment to its historic location by building the Eunice and James L. West Library in 1988.
