The MS Data Analytics – Specialization in Business Analytics at McDaniel College is a STEM-designated graduate program designed for students who want to connect data analysis with business strategy, operations, and decision-making.
This track is ideal for international students who want to use data to solve business problems, improve organizational performance, and support better decision-making across different industries.
Program Highlights:
The Business Analytics specialization focuses on how data can be used to support real business decisions. Students will study key areas such as data science, statistics, data mining, big data, problem analysis, and decision-making. The program helps students understand how to turn data insights into practical business actions.
Compared with a more technical data analytics track, Business Analytics places stronger emphasis on business application. Students will learn how analytics can support areas such as operations, finance, marketing, customer behavior, product strategy, and organizational planning.
Through practical projects, case-based learning, and teamwork, students can develop both technical and business-focused skills. This makes the program especially useful for F-1 students who want to continue working through Day 1 CPT while strengthening their long-term career profile in the U.S.
