- Monroe College -
Step 1: Application Platform
Access the school's online application portal, and new users should choose to register a new account.
Select:
-
Application Type: Master's
-
Applicant Type: International Student
-
International Student Campus: New Rochelle
*Currently, Day 1 CPT programs are only available at the New Rochelle campus.
Step 2: Personal Information and Program Confirmation
After completing the account registration, please provide your accurate personal information (Personal Background).
For the Permanent Address, please fill in your address in your home country. For the Mailing Address, provide a valid address in the United States.
Step 3: Academic Information
Please carefully fill in the requested information regarding the program, campus, and start date.
For the Attendance Option, select "Hybrid" from the dropdown menu.
For the campus, choose "New Rochelle" (as it is currently the only campus offering Day 1 CPT programs).
Step 4: Educational Background
Search and fill in the institution names of your previous schools, and the start and end dates (CEEB information will be automatically filled in after the school is selected).
Please make sure to provide information about your undergraduate education, as it is necessary. If you intend to waive the language proficiency requirement with a graduate degree from the United States, please also provide information about your graduate education.
After completing the information, you will be asked to upload your transcripts. Please ensure that the transcripts provided are the official versions.
Step 5: Submit Recommendation Letters
Provide the institutional or corporate email of two references. The school will contact your references by email. You will need to upload the recommendation letters here too.
The references can be professors from your previous institution or your employers. It is recommended to use the company email address, as personal email addresses may undergo additional scrutiny.
Step 6: Other Documents
Since you will be needing a new I-20, choose “yes” when asked if you require an F1 visa from Monroe College. As long as you are an international student, the answer should be “yes”.
The Current Employment section can be left blank if you are currently unemployed.
In the section regarding academic misconduct and illegal activities at the bottom of this page, simply select "No" if it does not apply to you.
Upon completing the online application, you will be required to submit an application essay of approximately 500 words. If you need assistance, contact us for help.
Additionally, you will need to submit an up-to-date resume and pay a $50 application fee. For inquiries about application fee waivers, please contact us.
