MS. in Data Science and Analytics is one of the most popular Day 1 CTP programs at NEC.

Day 1 CPT at New England College
Looking to enroll in a program that offers a low residency option and hands-on experience from day one? Consider New England College and its Executive Programs with day 1 CPT. With this unique approach, students are required to work or intern from the very beginning of their studies, allowing them to immediately apply the theoretical knowledge they gain from online and onsite courses in a real-world setting.
International students can get their CPT (Curricular Practical Training) from day 1 but must maintain their GPA above 3.0 throughout the program. At NEC, internships are defined as academic, for-credit experiences involving an agreement between the employer, the faculty sponsor, and the student. The three parties involved will create a structured experience at an employment site where the student will provide the employer with their work, talent, and energy while gaining knowledge and experience in a particular field.
Internships may be paid or unpaid (usually the latter) and may be in private, non-profit, or government organizations.
- New England College executive programs have 3 semesters (15 weeks) a year and usually can be finished in 5-6 semesters.
- Students will need to attend 3 days of onsite classes every semester (usually on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday).
- Students who are not able to attend will lose their F1 visa status.
- Once Enrollment is confirmed, students will need to submit an NEC Employment Agreement Form and Job Offer letter to determine CPT eligibility.
- Once CPT gets approved, students will receive a new I-20 and can start their work by following the start date on the I-20.
