Avila University, strategically situated in Kansas City, offers a comprehensive education in both the liberal arts and professional studies at undergraduate and graduate levels. The university boasts a favorable 12:1 student-to-faculty ratio, ensuring personalized attention and fostering a conducive learning environment. In the academic year 2020-2021, Avila proudly graduated 208 undergraduate and 64 graduate students, adding to its legacy of academic excellence.

With over 14,000 alumni, Avila has a vast network of graduates making significant contributions in every U.S. state and numerous countries worldwide. The "Avila Family" is a diverse community that mirrors the cultural richness of Kansas City and the global community. The campus hosts international students from a myriad of countries, including Brazil, Colombia, France, Haiti, India, Jamaica, Kenya, Malaysia, Nigeria, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and Vietnam. These students bring a wealth of cultural perspectives, enriching the learning experience for all.

Avila University’s graduate-level programs are designed to merge academic knowledge with real-world insights. Many of its programs offer a Day 1 CPT option with very affordable tuition.

Day 1 CPT at Avila University

In the graduate programs at Avila University, including the MBA, MS in Computer Science, and MS in Data Science, students eligible for Day-1 CPT can avail of the Capstone Experience. Students have the option to enroll in either an Applied Research course or an Internship course as their Capstone Experience. For those opting to utilize CPT, participation in an internship course is mandatory in all semesters, including the Fall, Spring, and Summer sessions.

Each program is designed to span approximately 20-24 months, during which students are required to complete an internship course comprising 3-4 credits.

The frequency of onsite visits is once per semester.
